Young players enthused by interaction with Renedy Singh

IMPHAL, July 21: In his endeavour of meeting U-14 football players of the state and sharing his experience with the youths, former India national Potsangbam Renedy Singh concluded his football coaching camp at Awang Potsangbam Khullen ground today. The concluding camp was participated by 40 young players of the area.

Renedy had conducted his first camp of the series at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary ground on July 16 followed by another two day long camp at Malom Mega High School ground starting from July 18.

He concluded his third and last camp today.

The former international player had distributed uniforms to the young players and balls to the organizers during all the three camps.

Speaking to media persons at the camp venue today, a young participant said even though the camp is just for two days, he has gain a lot from the international player.

He continued the experience of meeting such an illustrious player has encouraged the young players to follow in his footsteps. While thanking Renedy Singh for his brief interaction cum camping, he said it is really fortunate for them to get the chance to interact and gain from such a player as Renedy Singh.  He also expressed his desire to attend any more such camps in the future.

Meanwhile, Renedy Singh expressed that due to time constrain he could impart everything he had wished to, nonetheless, it is his firm believe that the brief interaction and ideas shared would benefit the young players in their footballing career.

He also expressed his desire conduct more camps in the future if he gets the opportunity and lengthened the period in the future.

Renedy Singh will be leaving Imphal for Shillong Lajong tomorrow. The camp was organised by Brighter Club Awang Potsangbam Khullen.

Members of the club also attended today’s concluding session of the camp.
