IMPHAL, July 22: YWC, Langthabal defeated Model Club, Chingamakha by 20 runs in the ongoing MCA U-16 cricket tournament at Luwangpokpa Cricket stadium.
YWC after winning the toss, elected to bat first. In their 30 overs, YWC put a total of 104 runs with nine wickets down.
Bishorjit was the highest scorer among the YWC batsmen with his unbeaten 27 off 50 balls while Rabichandra and Dipankar took two wicket each for Model Club.
Meanwhile, YWC restricted the Model Club batsmen for a paltry 84 in just 25 overs. Kamal with a score of 21 off 21 balls was the highest scorer for Model Club. Bishorjit of YWC took four Model Club wickets.
Bishorjit was adjudged the man of the match for his unbeaten 27 runs and four wickets.
