IMPHAL, August 17: The driver of a passenger auto rickshaw was killed at Moijing Lamkhai under Thoubal PS yesterday evening around 3:55pm after his vehicle hit a herd of cows.
Sources informed that four other passengers including three women were injured.
The dead driver identified as Md Rafik, 35 son of Soukat Ali, Thoubal Moijing succumbed to his injuries on the way to RIMS. He was being shifted from the Thoubal District Hospital.
The dead body has been handed over to family members after post mortem was conducted at the JNIMS morgue.
Meanwhile, an injured child of the ill-fated bus that met with an accident while carrying devotees at Uchiwa under the Mayang Imphal PS on August 12 succumbed at the Shija Hospital.
The child has been identified as Thokchom Sanatombi, 8 daughter of Th Roshni of Uripok Khoisnam Leikai. She died last evening at the hospital.
The dead body has been handed over to the family after conducting post mortem at the RIMS morgue yesterday.
