BMSC wins in I/W 1st div; DMRAO wins at Super div

IMPHAL, August 8: BMSC, Taobungkhok defeated Group Centre CRPF, Langjing by 2-1 of the ongoing Imphal West 1st division football league, tournament at the THAU ground today.

Kh Amarjit’s brace in the 15th and 33rd minutes of play helped BMSC register their first win of the tournament after a loss and a draw. BMSC has four points after today’s win, while the CRPF is yet to open their points account.

CRPF’s lone goal came off an own goal from Th Noren Singh of BMSC defender in the 57th minute. The goal came from a deflection off the defender’s chest while he was trying to clear the ball.

Kh Nupajao of the losing side was cautioned in the 58th minute of play.

Meanwhile, in the second ground match at the same ground which was of the I/W Super division league, DMRAO, Sekmai defeated THAU, Thangmeiband by a solitary goal.

The all-important goal of the match was scored in the last moment (79th) by H Anil through a superb free kick taken from outside the penalty box area.

DMRAO has 4 points after two matches while THAU has the same points from one more game.

DMRAO player H Killong was cautioned in the 46th minute, while two of the THAU players, H Romen (75th) and Augustine (78th) were also cautioned.
