IMPHAL, August 3: A government statement has informed that the whole area under the jurisdiction of Imphal East District including Jiribam has been imposed 144 CrPC do hereby prohibiting assembly of five or more persons which is likely to turn unlawful in the area and also prohibit carrying of sticks, stones, firearms and weapons of any other descriptions or objects which can be used as offensive weapons within the said area from 6 am of August 2 till 6 am of September 1.
However, this order shall not apply to the agencies of the government involved in the enforcement of law and order and the maintenance of essential services.
Further, persons who want to take out procession, public meeting, rally etc within the schedule of area may apply to the District Magistrate of Imphal East District for permission and they shall not take out procession, meeting etc. until the permission is obtained by them.
