IMPHAL, August 5: Fire ravaged a store room of a grocery shop on the first floor of a rented building at Chingamakha Manipur College road this late evening around 7pm.
The grocery shop, MS Budhachandra Grocery shop belongs to one Th Budhachandra, 45 son of (L) Chaoba of Singjamei Chingamakha Kshetri Leikai.
Sources said the fire could have started from a refrigerator short circuit. The fire was however controlled from further spreading by the Manipur Fire Service with their timely intervention.
Around Rs 70,000 worth of items were destroyed during the fire, sources said.
