Killer husband remanded to police custody

    IMPHAL, Aug 30: The CJM, Cheirap Court today remanded Salam Pradip of Lafupat Tera to 5 days of police custody in connection with the hacking to death of one Thokchom Ibochouba, 38 son of Gambhir of Nambol Govindgram.

    Ibochouba was hacked in a café at Changangei Ucheckon on August 28, while he was sitting with Pradip’s wife Rina Devi.

    Pradip who is a police constable presently posted at the Reserve Line Imphal West was arrested by a Lamphel police team led by OC Ingocha at around 2pm yesterday.

    Police have also recovered the knife used in the incident from a drain near the café following his disclosure during police interrogation.
