30 ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISED A VOLLEYBALL MATCH – Imphal , Manipur - 23 Aug 12
1. Imphal 23 Aug 12:- 30 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 9 sector Assam Rifles of HQ IGAR(S) organised a friendly volleyball match between the team of Pongdambam village and a team of Sawombung COB of 30 Assam Rifles at Sawombung COB ground.
2. The large congregation from Sawombung village witnessed the match which was won by the local Pongdambam village team. After the match Sawombung COB Cdr congratulated the players of Pongdambam village and presented a small token of appreciation on behalf of Assam Rifles and also assured that 30 Assam Rifles will provide all possible help and assistance to the Pongdambam village in all their ventures to make the milieu more conducive for the denizens of Pongdambam village.
3. The village head man of Pongdambam village appreciated the efforts and assurance given by 30 Assam Rifles and gesticulated that this type of events will definitely help in strengthening the bond of friendship between local populace and Assam Rifles.
