IMPHAL, August 17: The Union Home Ministry has cancelled the FCRA licence extended to about 128 NGOs operating in the state on July 20 this year in a sweeping move to control foreign contribution citing violation of the FCRA norms.
The central ministry has been closely monitoring the activities of the Manipur based organizations getting foreign contribution in recent times following rebuke of its human rights records at various international forums.
