IMPHAL, August 16: PYA, Kairang and DOAK, Yairipok today registered easy wins in the ongoing I/E 1st division football league tournament at the Khuman Lampak Football practice ground.
The first match of the game played between PYA and YDC, Potshangbam ended with the former winning by 4-0.
The goals for the winning team were scored by Moshim (13th), Kudus (35th), Johnson (56th) and Romenn (80+3rd).
In the second ground match, DOAK defeated TYWO, Takhel by 4-2 with goals from N Olen (10th, 27th and 53rd) and Y Rohendro (80+1st).
The goals for the losing side were scored by L Kenedy (13th), L TOndon (54th).
In tomorrow’s match second place on the points table Citizens’ Club, Soibam Leikai will meet leaders UPAA, Kyamgei.
UPAA with 16 points after the end of the sixth round is at the top of the points table, while, Citizens’ Club with 15 points closely following.
UPSA, Pukhao has 11 points, both YDC, Potshangbam and NESU, Khurai have 10 points each, SSC, Porompat and PYA, Kairang have seven points each, while, TYWO, Takhel, RAU, Lairikyengbam Leikai and DOAK, Yairipok has four points each.
