State HM talks to his Maharashtra counterpart

IMPHAL, August 13: Meanwhile, the state Home Minister Gaikhangam had a telephonic conversation with his Maharashtra counterpart on the issue.

Speaking to IFP, the Manipur Home Minister said that the Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil has described the incidents as unfortunate and unwanted.

The Maharashtra Minister also assured that the concerned Kondhwa Police Station has registered regular FIR case and that the police have already arrested persons allegedly involved in the incidents, he informed IFP.

The Maharashtra Home Minister had also assured that he will make sure that such unwanted and unfortunate incidents are not repeated in the future and further appealed to the people of the state to remain calm.

The state Home Minister also appealed to the people of the state to remain calm.
