IMPHAL, August 10: An unidentified Kinetic Honda suspected to have been fitted with explosives turned out to be a stolen vehicle at Singjamei Bridge.
The moped bearing regd number MN 1J 5019 belongs to Leishangthem Sobita of Chingamathak Pishum leirak.
The vehicle was found near the bridge by locals this morning. Singjamei police was informed about the unidentified vehicle.
After inspection by a team of the Singjamei police and the Lamphel police, the vehicle turned out to be a stolen vehicle.
The moped was stolen from in front of the RIMS special ward on August 8 around 9:30pm and a stolen report was filed by the owner with the Lamphel Police on August 9 morning.
