IMPHAL, August 3: Sagolband United and THAU, Thangmeiband are leading with four points each after winning their respective matches today of the ongoing I/W Super Division Football league Tournament at the THAU ground.
In today’s first match, Sagolband United defeated YDO, Konjeng Lamdong by 1-0 with L Apao scoring the all-important goal in the 13th minute of play.
SU’s first match of the tournament against YPHU, Lalambung had ended in a goalless draw.
In today’s second match, THAU defeated IBSA, Yumnam Leikai by 2-1.
Y Augustine Monsang (29th) and Philimon (33rd) scored for THAU while, IBSA’s lone goal was scored in the 14th minute by Kritivash.
THAU’s first match of the tournament played against NACO, Nambul Mapal had also ended in a 1-1 draw.
IBSA after two matches is at 1 point.
