Manipur, IMPHAL, Aug 9: A two day workshop on the theme “Health and Family welfare” Concluded today at the Lamyanba Sanglen, Palace Compound.
The workshop was jointly organized by the Song and Drama Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Government of India New Delhi.
Among the speakers today, Deputy Director Family Welfare Services, Dr P Binata appealed especially to the youth for marriage at the right time, said a PIB release.
“21 to 25 year of age is the right time for marriage. Among those who were married before 18 years of age specially females the risk of mortality both for the mother and baby is high.”
“A healthy baby and a healthy mother in a family is the best for a family .It is the slogan of the Family Welfare Services.”
