IMPHAL, August 19: The All Zeliangrong Students’ Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) and Zeliangrong Youth Front (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) have strongly condemned the alleged brutal killing of (L) PouChunthuigai Kamei, who was the state secretary of ZSUM, by NSCN (K) cadres in a broad day light at Nungkao village under Tamenglong district, said a release of ZYF (AM&N).
The Zeliangrong student leaders have been instrumental in harbouring peace and unity in Zeliangrong regions and such unwarranted killing of innocent leader will rather hamper the peaceful atmosphere, it further said.
Further, the Zeliangrong people and various frontal organizations of Zeliangrong and Inpui has unanimously decided and declared that; the culprit(s) should be produced before the Zeliangrong people organization(s) within August 25; to launch public non-cooperation movement to the outfits responsible for the heinous crime; to stop internecine killings and bloodshed among the different Naga revolutionary groups in Zeliangrong and Inpui region; all armed factions to shun violence and promote re-conciliation among different Naga groups; to pave way for peaceful solution to the more than sixty decades old Naga political issue.
The Zeliangrong people will strictly pursue and enforce the aforementioned five-point public declaration till it is materialized and ready to face any eventuality which may have come in the course of the movement, it added.
