IMPHAL, September 2: 28 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) is organising an Inter Club Open Archery Championship for men at Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, Imphal from September 7 to 9, 2012. The competition will have three categories on the basis of open scoring for Recurve, Compound and Indian Round. Only four archers in each category will be allowed to participate from a club. The categories are Indian Round, 50mx2 (total 36 arrows), Individual elimination round and Team event. Recurve Division, 70 Mtr x 2 (total arrows) Individual elimination round and Team event. Compound Division, 50 mtrx2 (total 36 arrows) Individual elimination round.
Recurve and Compound Division matches will be conducted under FITA rules whereas Indian Round will be conducted as per the rules of Archery Association of India. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for each individual along with cash prizes, overall champions and runner up trophy will be given only for Indian Round category. All Archery clubs under Manipur Archery Association are cordially invited for the competition.
