IMPHAL, Sept 18: The body of a suspected UG cadre who was shot dead in an encounter which occurred on September 15 at Khumulen and Khongtal of Chandel district still remains unidentified at JNIMS Morgue.
According to Chakpikarong officer in charge, if the body remains unclaimed till September 20, then it will be disposed by Municipal authorities. It may be mentioned that the encounter occurred between the 35 AR personnel and suspected UG at the mentioned place at about 5.30 pm. An AK 47 rifle, two magazines with 35 live rounds and 13 fired bullet cases were recovered from the area.
