IMPHAL, September 27: After defeating leaders AIM in their last match, defending champion NISA, Thangmeiband suffered a defeat against USA, Khurai today at the Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.
In another match of the MSL today, the two first timers JSYC, Sadar Hills and KSC, Lambulane were locked in a goalless draw.
Playing the 29th match of the league, USA defeated NISA by 2-0.
The two goals for USA were scored by L Milan in the 30th minute and A Binesh in the 90th minute.
NISA’s ZV Hoopkok was cautioned in the 45th minute.
Playing the second ground match of the day at the same venue, JSYC drew against KSC.
Both teams managed to steal scoring chances however failed to convert any of their chances.
Two players each of both teams Helkho Vaiphei and Jampao Touthang of JSYC and Lemkholen Haokip and Lalneidik Hmar of KSC were cautioned during the match.
There will be no match tomorrow. SSU will meet AIM on September 29 while, MPSC will been TRUGPU the same day.
