IMPHAL, Sept 4: The state Governor has announced that all government offices and education institutions located within the panchayat areas will remain close on September 13 on account of the 4th General Panchayat Election, 2012.
The Governor has also announced September 13 as a public holiday for all banks/financial institutions within the panchayat areas of the state.
Government employees, bank employees, employees of private sector undertakings serving elsewhere but resident of the Panchayat areas of the state are allowed to avail special casual leave on September 13.
