IMPHAL, September 27: The PREPAK (Pro) has claimed in a statement signed by its senior publicity officer, department of publicity & propaganda that Tongbram Sana alias Sanamacha alias Loya was killed in a fake encounter on September 25.
The statement alleged that Sana was not killed in an encounter as was claimed by the police.
Sana was reportedly killed at Changei Ucheckon at around 5:30 pm of September 25 during an encounter with security forces.
The statement continued that Sana who was from the 32nd batch of the outfit was arrested from the RIMS road by a Cdo team at around 1pm of September 25 the day the alleged encounter took place.
The statement has further said that during his time of arrest Sana had no weapons on his person.
It continued that he had been detained time and again in the past under the NSA and had been released only recently.
The statement further informed the public not to stay near security forces and state forces.
