IMPHAL, September 19: Post the conclusion of the 4th Panchayat Elections which was marked by a series of bomb threats made to candidates, threats have not dwindled as other attacks have been carried out at the residences of state government officials recently.
A hand grenade was found at the residence of one Huiningsungbam Chaoba Singh at Pisumthong Ningom Leikai at around 10.30 am. He is said to be the driver of Sugnu MLA, K Ranjit Singh.
The area comes under the jurisdiction of Singjamei Police Station and bomb squad has safely disposed of the grenade.
