IMPHAL, September 9: Host Manipur will clash with Arunachal Pradesh in the final of the 64th Senior National Hockey Championship (men’s) for North East Zone at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium on September 12.
Arunachal Pradesh stormed into the final defeating Tripura by 3-0 goals in league round match today.
Tripura after receiving defeat for the second time now will end its journey here.
N Bhaker (31st/41st minutes) and S Happy (67th minute) scored for Arunachal Pradesh.
Sahidur Islam of AP was shown two green cards in the 9th and 21st minutes by the referee.
Tripura received four penalty corners while Arunachal Pradesh received six penalty corners but both the teams did not succeed in converting it into any goals.
The last league match will be played tomorrow between Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh.
