MOREH, September 27: The Communist Party of India, Moreh Block today organised the 116th birth month of Lamyanba Hijam Irabot at the Chavangphai community hall.
The observation was attended by CPI, Tengnoupal secretary, Sonthang Mate as functional president, CPI, Manipur state secretary L Sotinkumar as chief guest and Meetei Council, Moreh president M Thoiba Singh as guest of honour.
The invitees spoke on the life and ideals of the leader.
As part of the observation, the invitees and the attendees also paid floral tribute to a picture of the leader.
Meanwhile, the Sagang Area United Club association organised its 3rd Hijam Irabot Day observation at the RPC School campus, Tuiringphaisen village, Sagang CCpur today.
The observation was attended by DI ZEO, CCpur, L Sumneithang as chief guest, Tuiringphaisen High School Headmaster Binoy Singh as functional president and Sagang High School, Headmaster St Minthang as guest of honour.
The observation was moderated by Thangthalien and L Asong.
Main highlights of the day were poetry competition, quiz competition, solo and talent show.
Participants of the various competitions were from Dampi JB/School, Khonomphai JB/Sc, RPC School, Tuiringphaisen Govt H/Sc, New Dampi Eng School.
