Kiyam Siphai High School inaugurated

IMPHAL, September 9: Kiyam Siphai High School, Tangjeng constructed under RMSA and Club hall of Heibong Leikai Youths’ Association, Kiyam Siphai constructed under MLALADF were inaugurated today.

The inauguration function was attended by Y Surchandra Singh, MLA of Kakching A/C, K Meghachandra Singh, MLA of 32-Wangkhem A/C, Y Umakanta, councillor, Thoubal Municipal Council and Guruaribam Joychandra Sharma, chief engineer, Education Department Manipur.

Speaking at the function, K Meghachandra Singh, MLA of 32-Wangkhem A/C, said that the literacy rate of the area is very low and appealed the teachers to put every effort to improve it.

He further said that the government has a plan of funding a sum of rupees four crore for setting up school/college infrastructures and to provide other needs in the area.

The MLA said that he had urged the Chief Minister for setting up a North East Tourism Management Institute at Waithou. He also added that there is a provision for setting up tourist spots at Kwarok.

He further continued that the club hall is built to create a platform for people of the area to work towards the development of the area. He also encouraged the people specially the youths to work honestly for the betterment of the society.
