Manipur, IMPHAL, Sept 4: A cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister today discussed about taking up certain developmental works under the Rajiv Gandhi Vidyuktikaran Yojana in the interior village areas of the state.
The meeting also agreed to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for laying of water pipes from Imphal to Thoubal for augmentation of drinking water and further to submit it to the Union Ministry.
It also approved of preparing a DPR for revival of an artificial lake at Lamphelpat, utilization of the land allotted to the Manipur Government at Gurgaon and construction of a VVIP guest house at the premised vacated by the High Court, Imphal Bench.
The cabinet was attended by all ministers, principal secretaries of PHED, PWD and IFCD. Commissioner of GAD, Imphal West DC, MPCB director, chief engineers of PHED, PWD and IFCD among others.
