IMPHAL, Sept 11: The Maoist Communist Party, MCP has claimed responsibility for the bomb planted yesterday at the residence of Lamlongei gram panchayat member, Waikhom Basanti.
In a statement issued to the press, MCP claimed this is the fourth in a row as part of their activity to warn individuals or elected members involved in funds embezzlement.
The statement further said, the bombs were planted as a warning and not the end, the MCP will take up more stringent measures and action to those culprits involved in the misappropriation of funds meant for the poor and the needy.
