IMPHAL, Sept 1: A North Eastern States level meeting of the Rashtriya Yuvak Parishad was held on August 30 at the Hotel Mayoor, Guwahati with the national president of the RYP Narendra Mathur in the chair.
According to a statement of the RYP, the regional meeting was also attended by NE States RYP convenor, Minkir Lollen, Assam RYP president, Soilen Bora, West Bengal RYP president, Symmy Campe, Tripura RYP president, Rudra Pal and Manipur Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (I) former president L Memo Singh.
It continued that the RYP national general secy and AICC member Manish Kumar briefed in length about the motto and ideology of the Rashtriya Yuvak Parishad.
Regional president, P Sashikanta Singh also proposed a convention at the North East level to be held at Imphal in September with Union Minister Gulam Nabi Azad to be the chief guest at the convention was discussed and unanimously passed, it said.
The release also added that Soilen Bora will be the spokesperson of the convention.
