IMPHAL, September 14: The Zeliangrong Students’ Union Manipur has demanded the concern department to issue the TET form in the hill districts.
A statement of the union has expressed strong dissatisfaction towards the attitude of state government and concern department for failing to open the examination centre at the district HQ for TET examination after giving assurance in the daily leading newspaper last year.
It further said that instead of opening the examination centre at the district HQ, forms for TET are being issued only in Imphal city in a single centre. The aspiring candidates have to wait for as long as three to four days just to get a form as the forms are being issued only from one centre which caused a lot of inconveniences for the candidates who are coming from the distance corner of the state, it said.
The ZSUM has demanded the concern department to issue the TET form in the hill districts immediately as done in the past and immediately arrange to conduct the examination at the respective districts of the state.
ZSUM will launch democratic form of agitation if the demands are not fulfilled or responded, it added.
