IMPHAL, Oct 28: The Court of Judicial Magistrate first class, Imphal have issued an arrest warrant on 24 of this month against Chananmbam Ibomcha Singh, who is a Member of Phumlou Gram Panchayat ward no. 2, as said by a press release by the general secretary of Macha Leima RTI Apunba Lup, Palace compound, Imphal.
It further said that the judicial magistrate have directed the officer-in-charge, Lamshang police station to produce C Ibomcha before court on 31 of this month in connection with a complaint filed by 4 individual job card holder of MGNREGS.
According to the press release, it further alleged that C Ibocha have fraudulently withdrawn employment wages, guaranteed under MGNRGA, 2005, by opening fakes accounts in the names of MGNRGS employees. It further maintained the matter has been remaining unfolded for the last 5-years.
The petition was filed with active initiatives of Human Right Law Network (HRNL), Manipur in association with Macha Leima RTI Apunba Nupi Lup.
