IMPHAL, October 18: As a part of Manipur Sangai Festival-2012, Manipur House Riding and Polo Assocaition is organising the 6th Manipur Polo International at Mapal Kangjeibung during 24 to 29 Nov, 12, according to a press release.
The tournament is sponsored by the government of Manipur and organised as per the calendar schedule of Indian Polo Association. The said tournament would be follow the Indian Polo Assocation Rules and would mount on Manipuri Pony horses.
Beside the representative teams from the state and the Indian Polo Association, teams from England, German, France and Thailand will join the said tournament, as said by the press release. The preparation for the tournament is in the full swing, and theme of this year tournament is ‘Save the Manipur pony, the original polo pony’.
