IMPHAL, Ot 15: A sit in protest was held today at Khordak Tera Khunou Arong meira paibi at around 12 :45 pm today at Laphupat Tera khunou about 27 km sout west from Mayang Imphal police station.
The bomb exploded about 100 metre away from where the personnel of 33 Assam Rifles were on foot patrol across the laphupat tera and blomb exploded amongst the shrubs along the road.
It is believed the bomb was composed on IED timer with remote control trigger facility.
Among the injued included 22 Knight Subedar SB Vohrah, 52 of Almorak district under Uttarachand knight subedar.
The injued were later taken by a helicopter for treatment to a better site.
