IMPHAL, October 31: The Directorate of education has notified that the rate for state competitive scholarship have revised, a said by a notification through Directorate of information and public relation.
The notice further said that the revised rate for class 5 have increase from Rs 75 to Rs 300, and for class 8 from 100 to Rs 500 per month respectively and the duration of the scholarship is 3 year for 5 and 2 years for class 8.
The notice further said that the said scholarship is awarded after a state level examination conducted by directorate of education(S). And it added that 25 selected students would be awarded from each class who secured not less than 60 percent marks for general categories and 50 percent for girls, SC and ST.
