IMPHAL, Nov 25: A team of CDO, Imphal east on Saturday arrested one KCP cadre from Chajing Lakpa Laiharaopham Lampak.
According to a police release, the arrested person has been identified as Konthojam Sharat Singh, 48, son of K Beikunda Singh of Lilong Chajing Chingkhong Leikai. O
On further verification, he revealed that he joined the said organisation in 2010 through one Soya of Langthabal Mantrikhong and he along with Soya had extorted a huge sum of money from the general public and private firms etc, the release further said.
As a followed action, the team rushed to Langthabal Mangtrikhong along with the arrested person and arrested Khuraijam Soya Singh, 48, son of Kh Mangi Singh of Langthabal Matrikhong Mayai Leikai from Langthabal Matrikhong Pukhri Achouba Lampak, the release said.
