India (B) defeats England team by 14-5 in Manipur Polo Intl

IMPHAL, November 24: India (B) and Thailand polo team registered easy wins against their opponent in the first day of the 6th Manipur Polo International at the historic ground of Mapal Kangjeibung today.

The first match was played between the India (B) team and the England polo team with the former winning by 14-5.

In the first chukker of the match, the Indian team scored 6 goals while the England team scored 2; in the second chukker, India scored 2 while England scored 1; in the third chukker, the Indian team added another two goals while the England team scored one.

In the last and fourth chukker of the match, the Indian (B) team scored 4.

The India (B) scorers are P Ojit (4 goals), M Jawan (6), T Pradeepkumar (1), Th Kaoba (1), s Bimol (2).

All five scorers for the England team were scored by Rupert Duff.

In the second match of the day, the Thailand team defeated the France team by 11-4.

Thailand ended the first chukker with a one goal lead against its opponents and extended the goal line to 5-2 by the end of the second chukker.

In the third chukker, Thailand scored four times, while the France team scored just once.

In the last chukker, Thailand scored twice while, France scored once to end the match with a 11-4 score.

The scorers for Thailand are Federico Bachman (2 goals), Suphachai Sukhampa (5), Nara Ketusingha (1) and Verachai Ngao Osa (2) and Vorajit Wangkhraso (1), while Sebastian Decommer (2), Christian Dandri and Allemand Daniel Rojer (1 eac) scored for France.
