IMPHAL, November 2: The Royal Riders Manipur will be touring, organizing awareness camps in all the nine districts of the state starting from Saturday in an aim to publicise the Manipur Tourism festival which will be held from November 21 at Hapta Kangjeibung.
This was said by secretary of the biker’s club, Ph Jogen speaking with media persons at Manipur Press Club today.
He further said that the Commissioner of state tourism department will flag off their campaign for publicity of Manipur Tourism festival from Hotel Imphal.
The bikers will highlight the programmes of the festival to the public as they pass by, he added.
President of Royal Riders Manipur, RK Tombisana said that the main objective of the Riders is to spread awareness in all the nine districts about the importance of tourism in the state.
During the campaign, street corner meetings along with poster campaign will be held were a resource person will be speaking on the topic of the festival, he further said.
November 23 will be the theme day for Senapati district, November 24 for Tamenglong district, November 25 for Churachandpur district, November 26 for Chandel district and November 27 for Ukhrul, he said.
On their respective theme day, each district will showcase their five main component i.e. indigenous handloom and handicraft, indigenous foods, cultural presentation, fashion show on their traditional outfit and indigenous adventures sport, he said.
He also appealed to all sections of the society not to give any obstacles in their campaign.
Altogether 30 Royal Bullet bikes with 50 volunteers will participate in the Manipur tourism festival campaign, he added.
