IMPHAL, November 21: The U-12 Manipuri boys team defeated the Karnataka team by 3-0 in the first match of the AIFF U-12 and 13 boys festival of Football played at Kalyani, West Bengal.
The goals for the Manipur team were scored by Md Sahajahan (5th), Kh Ningthoinganba (10th) and N Dhruba (18th).
In the U-13 match, the Manipur boys’ were defeated by their Karnataka counterpart by a lone goal, while in another match of the age group the Manipur lads defeated Maharashtra by 1-0. N Mahesh scored Manipur’s goal in the 12th minute of play.
In another match of the day, the Manipur U-12 Boys’ defeated their Maharashtra counterparts by 1-0 through Md Sahajahan’s goal in the 17th minute of play.
