IMPHAL, October 7: The 8th A Borchand Singh Memorial U-12/13 boys inter district football festival, 2012 kicked off today at the Khuman Lampak practice ground participated by 12 teams.
The festival is organized by the All Manipur Football Association.
In Group A of the U-12 age group, Imphal East District Football Association defeated DFA, THoubal by 7-0 and later defeated AJSA Jiribam by 4-0. In another match of the group, AJSA Jiribam were locked in a 3-3 draw with DFA, Thoubal.
In the Group B of the same age group, DSA (KAK) defeated DSA (BPR) by 1-0, DSA (KAK) and Imphal West District Football Association were locked in a 1-1 draw while Imphal West District Football Assn defeated DSA (BPR) by 1-0.
In the Group A of the U-13 age group, Imphal West District defeated DSA, Kakching by 1-1 and later defeated DFA (Tbl) while DSA Kakching defeated DFA (Tbl) by 2-1.
In the Group B of the U-13 age group, Imphal East District Football Association defeated AJSA, Jiribam by 2-0 and DSA (Bpr) by 3-0 while, DSA (Bpr) defeated AJSA, Jiribam by 3-0.
