IMPHAL, Dec 31: Manipur has been selected for Krishi Karman Awards as the Best Performing State in overall foodgrain production among Category-III States whose annual total foodgrains production is less than one million tonne.
The Award consists of a trophy, citation and cash amount of Rs 2 crores to be used for improving the work environment in the Department/Directorate of Agriculture and their field offices. The award would be presented by the President of India on January 15, 2013 at New Delhi.
