IMPHAL, February 22: Armed Mask men reportedly looted Rs 27 lakhs worth gold ornaments and Rs 45 thousand in cash from the house of the proprietor of Arun Enterprises last night around 10:10 pm at Chingmeirong Mamang Leikai, under Lamphel Police Station, Imphal West.
Speaking to media persons at his residence, proprietor of Arun Enterprises Thangjam Arun said that yesterday night at around 10:10 pm, three masked men with one small armed entered the waiting room in the first floor of his house when he was absent from his home.
He further added that his wife Purnimashi was staying alone and was watching television at the time when the three masked men held her at gun point and asked for the key of the steel allmirah where they keep their valuables and forcefully took away gold ornaments worth around Rs 27 lakhs and a sum of Rs 45 thousand from her ladies bag, he said told the media persons.
Meanwhile, Lamphel police Inspector in charge N.Ingocha went to the spot and inspected the area regarding yesterday’s incident and filed a case.
