Manipur,IMPHAL, February 2: Md Faisal Khan, Co-ordinator of the National alliance for People’s Movement (NAPM), New Delhi will come down to Imphal so as to meet Irom Chanu Sharmila who has been in Juicial custody for having launched her indefinite fast demanding to repeal Armed Forces (Special) Powers Act, 1958.
According to information received by IFP, Md Faisal Khan, Co-ordinator of National alliance for People’s Movement (NAPM), New Delhi will visit Imphal on 4 Febuary. As soon as he arrives at Imphal, he will meet Irom Chanu Sharmila who has been detained and hospitalized in the security ward of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) under judicial custody and he will leave for Delhi on 5 February. He has been urging Home department of the state government to grant permission to meet Sharmila since 20 January last year.
It may be mentioned that Irom Chanu Sharmila who has been detained in Judicial custody under FIR no. 95 (B) 2012 PRT PS V/S 309 1PC registered and initiated by Porompat police station, Imphal east District will appear before metropolitan magistrate of Patiala House Court, New Delhi on 4 March for which Home Department of Manipur government has taken up all necessary measures, sanctioning the required amount for her travel.
