IMPHAL, February 7: The Khurai Nandhaibam Leikai Program Panchayat organized a One Day Meeting Cum Awareness on Social Audit and Gram Shaba under The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
Fijam Jugindro a local person said at the function that the MGNREGA is one of the best scheme in India implemented by the government for the welfare in the rural areas. But in Manipur it has become one of the ugliest and non-transparent schemes.
He further said that officials of the concerned department and the block development officer should give special attention towards this scheme and check that their work are being done properly.
