IMPHAL, Feb 27: The four day long workshop on `Management of voluntary club libraries of Manipur` organized by the Manipur Library Association (MALA) under the aegis of the Government of India, Ministry of Culture; Raja Rammohun Roy Library Foundation, Kolkota and Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Manipur at the Manipur Press Club since February 24, 2013 concluded today.
According to a statement of MALA, the said workshop which was attended by 157 representatives of voluntary clubs from all districts of the state was conducted in two batches. 6 resource persons in each batch spoke on various topics during the workshop.
Langol Iboyaima spoke on the topic “Contribution of Jananeta Irabot in Manipuri literature and culture” during the Jananeta Irabot memorial lecture and N Shyamkanhai spoke on the topic “Scenario of public libraries in Manipur” under the MK Priyabrata memorial lecture.
Certificates were distributed to the participants at the concluding day of the workshop, the statement added.
