IMPHAL, Mar 22: A press release of the Designated Officer (Food Safety)/ CMO (Food safety and standards wing) Churachandpur has notified that the packages of food item without proper label such as Mikko Nutritious Cereal ( High Calcium)-25 g, Mikko (3 in instant Coffemix, snacks (Bakery items) and Milk and Milk Products and Pickles/ achar items (fruits and fishes )etc imported from Myanmar into India are completely banned.
It further appealed to all the general public of Churachandpur not to use packaged drinking water without ISI mark and sub – standard ice cream having no brand name, date of manufacture, expiry date, ingredients of product during Holy Festival as the mentioned food items may cause water bone diseases.
