IMPHAL, March 10: Angry locals of the Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai and the JAC formed against the killing of Late T Dwijamani prevented film actress Momoko along with crew members of a film shoot from filming at the memorial site of the late journalist. The incident took place today around 10.30 am.

Later, speaking to the media, L Pratap Secretary of Naharol Leishemba Club (NLC), Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai who is also Co convenor of the JAC of (L) Dwijamani said that  club volunteers of the area were conducting a social service in the place where (L) Dwijamani was cremated and where  a memorial site is set to be built when they saw the film crew including Momoko around the area making preparations for a film shoot. The sight led to irate residents of the area to stop the film shoot. Locals have alleged that the actor in question had never visited the deceased`s residence to offer condolences on his death or taken part in any of his death related rituals.  It may be mentioned that late Dwijamani was shot dead on duty while filming a public agitation in the wake of protests over Momoko`s assault in Chandel.

He further said that after they stopped the film team from filming in the area today,  locals along with the club members and the JAC members held an emergency meeting at the club and decided to banned the film actor  from any kind of film shooting in the area until an agreement of understanding is brought between the Film Forum Manipur officials and the residents regarding the issue.
