IMPHAL, March 5: A government statement has notified that Syed Wahidur Rahman, Associate Professor in English, GP Women’s College has been appointed as Secretary of Manipur State Minorities Commission in addition to his normal duties in the College without any extra remuneration with immediate effect and until further orders.
Further, Syed Wahidur Rahman will continue to draw his pay and allowances from the Directorate of Higher Education Department, Manipur as usual. However, he will be paid TA/DA by the Commission for his tour on official duties of the commission, the statement added.
