TET Exams peaceful in, Kangpokpi, Churachandpur, Ukhrul and Jiribam

KANGPOKPI, March 24: The Teachers`s Eligibility Test (TET) which was conducted at 12 different private centre at Kangpokpi by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur concluded peacefully without any disturbances with the initiative taken by the local civil bodies alongwith KSO Sadar Hills.

As per the information received from the the Zonal Educational Office Kangpokpi, 15 candidates were expelled form different centres at Kangpokpi, 117 were absent while 10 candidates were expelled by the flying squad of BOSEM with total number of candidates appearing for Paper 1 being 3989

For Paper II in the evening shift,  out of 1289 candidates, 78 candidates did not turned up for the test while 5 candidates were expelled by the same flying squad totalling the number of appeared candidates to 1206.

Prior to the commencement of the examination, members of Kanggui Town Committee, Kanggui Women Welfare Organization and Kanggui Youth Union kept vigil around the 12 centre to ensure smooth conduction of the Test.

The Kuki Students` Organization Sadar Hills President while speaking to a media person after the examination said that, since this is the first time where TET was being held at Kangpokpi, the student body was taking every possible steps for peaceful and smooth conduct of the examination.

He also extended his heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the student body to the Manipur State government and the concerned department for conducting TET at Kangpokpi for the convenience of the candidates belonging to the area.

Addl.Deputy Commissioner H.Rupachandra Singh, SDC Kangpokpi along with some others civil bodies organization accompanied the Student body in inspecting the 12 examination centres to ensure smooth conduct of the examination.

In the meantime, Kanggui Youth Union expressed its profound gratitude to all who have rendered  efforts for peaceful examination.

The Union also thanked ZEO, Kangpokpi Smt. Ngahchong and her staffs, officials in charge of the examination and the security personnel for extending tireless efforts to conduct the examinations peacefully and expressed gratitude to the BOSEM Flying Squad for their good works to ensure quality education in the area and to maintain a disciplined examination manner by the students as well as the persons on duty.

Jiribam Correspondent:

The TET examination was also conducted today at Jiribam Sub-division at the Jiribam Higher Secondary School.

ADC Jiribam, ZEO Jiribam, Addl SP and Jiribam Hr Sec School Principal as chairman, office in charge and member respectively formed TET exam centre committee and conducted the exam peacefully.  A total of around 402 candidates sat for the exams today.

Ukhrul correspondent:

The MLA of 45 Chingai AC, MK Preshaw along with the Ukhrul DC, R Sudhan; SP Ukhrul and ZEO inspected the Teachers Eligebility Test (TET) examination held in Ukhrul. The Examination was conducted smoothly and peacefully under tight security arrangements undertaken by the Ukhrul District Police, led by the SP, K Kabin at all the 5 examination centers. Altogether, 2454 aspirants appeared in the examinations with 1,709 candidates appearing for paper I and 745 candidates appearing for paper II.

Churachandpur Correspondent:

As many as 5073 candidates registered to appear in the morning for paper-I exam which was held at seven centre across Lamka town between 9:30 to 11:30 am while a total of 1783 candidate took the evening paper-II exam between 12:30 to 2:30 pm with the police under the command of SP Churachandpur on duty. There was no untoward incident or hindrance reported following minute frisking of the candidates.
