Written selected candidates demand resumption of appointment process

IMPHAL, March 11: The ICPS Written Test Selected Candidates Association, Manipur has appealed to all concerned to conduct the viva voice for the selection of staffs under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) of the Social Welfare department.

Speaking to media persons at a press conference at the Manipur Press Club today, spokesperson Th Roshan said the association has also submitted a memorandum to the concerned authorities and in case they failed to take a positive action by within ten days, then the association will initiate agitations from the next day.

Elaborating on the issue, he said that the process for the appointment process was initiated since the month of March 2010 but was cancelled midway.

He continued further that in August 2011, there was an advertisement in local dailies for the registration of the name of the candidates in the Employment Exchange and the written test was conducted on December 18, 2011. “The results of the written test were declared on November 27, 2012 vide a notification issued by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Manipur and a directive issued to the selected/qualified candidates to appear for viva/voce from November 28 till December 18, 2012,” he said.

The association, formed by the written test selected candidates for various posts for selection of staffs of the State Child Protection Society (SCPS); District Child Protection Society (DCPS), State Adoption Resource Agency (SARA); Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA); State Project Support Unit (SPSU); Child Welfare Committee, (CWC); Juvenile Justice Board, (JJB) under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS) of Social Welfare Department which is a scheme to be implemented in mission mode and sponsored by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government, he said.
