JIRIBAM, May 8: In the midst of the drive being conducted by various organizations and the Government against intrusion of illegal foreigners, 13 outsiders who were making an effort to intrude into Manipur were arrested by a team of CID at the foreigner`s check post in front of the police out post located at Leingangpokpi, Jribam and turned home.

According to a reliable source, some of the outsiders intruded into Jiribam through the railway bridge at Jiribam Bapupara and some are said to have entered on the pretext of consulting a doctor at Kaligarh, Jiribam.

It is believed that outsiders first intruding into Jiribam and booking tickets from the bus counter were staying the night in the houses of their own community along National highway 37, leaving for Imphal by taking the bus.
