IMPHAL, May 17: Addressing the media, Rousow General Secretary of the KCP (MC) Lallumba group which is signatory of the Suspension of Operation maintained that personnel of the 7th Manipur Rifles, Khabeishoi where the cadres of the outfit are presently lodged severely assaulted one of his friends who had come to visit him today around 11 am.
He was speaking to media persons at the gate of the 7th MR camp at Khabeishoi this afternoon.
Rousow expressed that his cadres along with him would like to shift to another designated camp if such treatment are to be continued at the present post.
The personnel of the post have been mistreating his cadres since the past four five days, he aleged before adding that even their visitors are not allowed to meet them.
It may be noted that the KCP (MC) Lallumba group has been lodged at the 7th MR Khabeishoi since August 6, 2010. He further alleged that the personnel had detained the finance secretary of the outfit when he was trying to get inside the camp after a day out from the camp yesterday.
