IMPHAL, May 8: Addressing a press conference at the Kuki Inpi Manipur, the Kuki Student Organization has demanded that the state government must arrest the persons involved in the killing of two persons from Bongbal Kholen village within 48 hours. Thangmeinlien Kipgen presidentof KSO said that if the government fail to arrest the person(s) involved in the killing within the given time period, the KSO along with 25 neighbouring villages of Bongbal Kholen and other CSOs of the state will call an indefinite bandh in Sadar hills area.
Saying that the student body condemn the killing, he said that the negligence of the state police was responsible for the deaths as the family member and Bongbal Kholen village authority had filed a missing complain report to the Yairipok police station on April 29.
He further asked for clarifications on the reason for the killing of the two villagers.
